Technical-economic feasibility design of the intervention on the S.S.260 PICENTE

Adaptation and upgrading of Lazio’s road section – 1st Lotfrom km 48+330 to km 43+800″.

Lot 1- The new route involves the construction of 3 viaducts in order to allow 4 different crossing of the Castellano’s Torrent (Tributary of the Tronto). The viaducts consist of 2 longitudinal Corten steel beams, a 23 cm. thick deck slabe that houses the roadway and road safety barriers. The longitudinal beams are connected by tranverse beams arranged with constant space along the path. The beams have a variable height fom 1.8 to 3.5 meters. This specific deck allows to use dim lights from 50 to 70 meters..A streamlined, robust and durable work, with low maintenance costs and a low impact on the environment.

Adaptation and upgrading of Lazio’s road section-   2nd Lot – Amatrice variant – from Km 41+150 to PK 43+800

Lot 2-The adaptation  envisaged the construction of a Variant Section in order to adapt and strengthen the road, connecting the internal areas to the national territory. The intervention involved the construction of two roundabouts; the first one at PK 43+800 right here the alternative Route will detach and connect to the S.S. 260 at PK 41 + 150 where the second project roundabout will be built. The route as a total length of  1300 m. and involves the contructions of 3 new viaducts with a development of 380 m, 500 m and 190 m respectively and piles with a maximum height of approximately 20 m. with a very significant improvement in safety at a seismic level.
